HOW
CAN I HELP?
Are
you my Constituent? MPs can only help people who live
in their own constituency. Find out if you do from this link,
but be warned - if you live on the borders of my constituency,
100% accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Then you should check
with the electoral registration officer at Wychavon District
Council. http://www.locata.co.uk/commons/
What can I do? The Commons publishes
a useful factsheet that explains what MPs can do - and what
they can't. You can find it at this link: http://www.parliament.uk/commons/lib/fs41.pdf
Planning issues. The district council
usually deals these with, although the county is sometimes
involved too. Click
here to get a full statement on the limits of what I can do.
Education,
social services and other local government issues. Remember
that many of the things you may want me to investigate, such
as libraries, refuse collection, schools, social services,
roads and other important local services are administered
by Worcestershire County Council (http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/wcc)
or Wychavon District Council (http://www.wychavon.gov.uk
). To complain about these things, you should write first
to them or, better still, to your local councillor.
